Pat
Custer Denison and Chip Denison collaborate on making many varieties of
art pieces, but are most noted for their ceramic tile paintings. Pat is
the primary artist and designer with husband, Chip as the major
facilitator. Their paintings are framed in their signature handmade
frames. These frames are often free formed shaped and have elaborate
carving and embellishments.
In addition to their paintings, each year Pat and Chip do a series of
individual 6” x 8” ceramic tiles that are eagerly anticipated and
collected. These can be seen and purchased on their web site.
Pat
and Chip (both born in 1948) were high school sweethearts, married in
1970, and continue to live happily ever after. They feel privileged to
get to work together and play together in their home/studio in
Benzie County
