ARTIST INFORMATION
Chuck Forman is well versed in transparent watercolor painting with a love for landscapes and seascapes. Architectural delineation from projected perspective to a finished painting is also his specialty. He has owned studios dating back to 1960 in Lansing, Michigan, and has been located in northern Michigan since 1976. He has taught at the Lansing Community College in Lansing, MI and at Northern Michigan Arts & Crafts in Traverse City, MI.

Currently, he is teaching classes at the Blue Heron Gallery, Elk Rapids, MI. He is teaching a fundamental approach to watercolor, with some tricks that are easily grasped by older as well as younger students.

Mr. Forman was the winner of the New York Salmagundi Club Award of Excellence. His painting of the U.S. Coast Guard Icebreaker Biscayne Bay toured the country in 1995 as part of the COGAP Collection. He exhibits in many juried shows and has been judged tops in transparent watercolor. Mr. Forman’s favorite subjects are Lake Michigan and the islands within, and the Canadian waters of the North Channel in Lake Huron.
