ARTIST INFORMATION
I have worked in clay for 31 years.  My current work within the medium is the design and application of ceramic surfaces, better known as tiles, through a hand made process.  Shapes, motifs, patterns, and relief are purposeful; each is cut from wet clay, patterned by hand, and / or pressed into molds made by the artist.  This technique maximizes the creative and dynamic process from beginning to end, allowing flexibility for works to reflect pattern and consistency along with randomness in design and motif.

Following an initial firing to remove impurities and strengthen the pieces, they are airbrushed with handmade glazes and fired again at a higher temperature in an electric kiln.  

I have a small showroom attached to my studio you are welcome to visit. Please call for studio hours. I do art fairs and am not always there.
